Announcement on the Forthcoming 6th Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program on International Law

The 6th Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program on International Law (CAERP) will be held in Beijing, China from 24 to 29 July 2023 and in Hong Kong SAR,China from 30 July to 4 August 2023.

During the 6th training session, outstanding scholars and practitioners in various fields of international law are to be invited to give lectures in English. The topics will include but not limited to the following: the Charter of the United Nations and International Law, Third World Approach to International Law, International Investment Law, International Judicial Institutions, Climate Change and International Environmental Law, New development in the Law of the Sea.

The opening ceremony of the session will be held in conjunction with the Colloquium on Developing Countries and International Law. During the 6th training session, field visits and sightseeing in Beijing and Hong Kong will also be included. The tentative schedule of the training session will be released in due course and updated as necessary.

Each Member State of AALCO is invited to nominate one participant to this Session. The Government of China will cover the cost for the participants from developing economies (see Annex I).Applicants are requested to fill out the Application Form (see Annex II) and submit it to the Chinese Embassies no later than 20th June 2023.
