The 7th Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Programme on International Law (CAERP) will be held in Hong Kong SAR, China from 30 June to 6 July 2024.
The establishment of CAERP was announced in April 2015 by President Xi Jinping during the Asian-African Summit in Indonesia. The CAERP is open to all Member States of AALCO, and is designed as a long-term programme to support the work and activities of AALCO. The CAERP is conducted, among other things, through organizing and funding seminars and training sessions for officials and practitioners of Member States, facilitating research on major international law issues of common interest, and providing support to relevant working groups and expert meetings established by AALCO. With a view to promote the exchange and dialogue, the CAERP supports the sharing of good practices, experience and knowledge, enhancing capacity-building in the field of international law among AALCO's Member States, in order to better fulfil the Organization's objectives and missions.
The 7th training session will continue to provide a wide range of courses of international law (see Annex I), to be conducted in English. Lectures will be given by world-renowned legal scholars and practitioners in various fields of international law on recent development in international law.
Each Member State of AALCO is invited to nominate one participant to this Session. The organizer will cover the cost for the participants from developing economics (see Annex II).
